        Renovators’ Paradise House Tour

If you have an interest in renovations, want to learn a few pointers, or are just curious about houses, we have the house tour for you!  On Sunday, June 14th from 2:00-4:00pm, the Port Williams Community Park Committee is sponsoring a house tour of three newly renovated homes.  These include the former Harry Crouse apartments on Belcher Street, which have been converted back into a single family dwelling; a bungalow on Greenwich Road that was renovated into a Cape Cod design; and a century home on Starr’s Point Road, which has been upgraded into a modern family home.

Tickets are $15 each and include an English tea at one of the homes. Tickets are available at Stage 2 Appliances in Port Williams or the Port Williams United Baptist Church office.  For more information phone 678-1562, email lauracd@ns.sympatico.ca or see the poster on the noticeboard in the foyer.   All funds go towards establishing the park in Port Williams.

         Church Family Picnic

It’s hard to believe that our annual Church Family Picnic is just around the corner. This year we are excited to be going again to Lockhart and Ryan Park in New Minas. We are looking forward to having a day filled with faith, fellowship and, of course, food and fun.

Our church family picnic will be held on June 14th. We will start our morning with our worship service at 10:00am followed by lunch and games for all ages. Signs will be posted upon entering the park to guide you to our exact location.

What do you need to bring? Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets to sit on, a dessert or salad to share and your own dishes and cutlery. There will be barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs and drinks provided.  In the event that it does rain that day, we will meet at the same time at Wolfville School. Communication to this effect will be on the answering machine at the church that morning and posted on the door to the church.

Transportation:  If you need a ride to Lockhart and Ryan Park or if you are able to take an extra person with you; please contact Ruth at the office.  She will keep a master list to match people up.  Thank you in advance for your spirit of cooperation.

This event has always been one filled with enjoyment for all ages. We hope to see you all there!
