        Advance Notice:  A ‘Strawberry Tea–in-the -Garden’ is to be held on Saturday, July 19th (rain date Sunday, July 20th) at  Ron & Carol Buckley’s, 48 Cooperage Lane, Port Williams, between 2:00 - 4:30pm. 

       This is a fund raiser for the 140th Anniversary project.


      The Maryland State Boychoir, under the direction of Frank Cimino and Stephen Holmes, will present a concert on Friday, July 18th at 7:30 p.m.  The concert will be held at Kings Presbyterian Church,

5563 Prospect Road
, New Minas, NS.  This performance will showcase their Tour Choir, and will take place as part of their 2-week Summer Tour, which will take the choir through the New England area and north to Nova Scotia.  The concert program will include classical and contemporary choral works, both sacred and secular.  Additionally, spirituals, hymns, gospel and popular music will be sung.  This concert is free and open to the public.


       MERMAID THEATRE WILL BE HOLDING A

       PUPPET WORKSHOP.  Bring your recyclables,

       your imagination and make a puppet.

       When:        July 16th,  at 11 am for ages 10 and

                           under

                           July 16th, at 1:30 for ages 9 and up

        SADDLE UP YOUR HORSES!!!! AND GET READY FOR A WILD

        RIDE!!!!    DVBS will be turned into the Avalanche Ranch

        this  year.....the adventure starts on:

       August 11th-15th from 9:00-11:30am.

       There are lots of ways to help out, either with preparation

       work before or during the week of Bible School.  Please let

       me know if you are interested.

        A Summer Ice Cream Social to celebrate out

        faith community and each other will be held in

        the Miller's back yard at 6:30pm  on July 30th

        Bring your own chair. If it is raining, then at

        Lockwood Hall.  There will be a brief program. 

        This is a family event - bring your  neighbour too!  

        Good fun - plan to come.


“Avalanche Ranch” is the Daily Vacation Bible School

program planned for our church this summer. 

Adult volunteers are needed.  If you can help, please speak to

Lisa Lazaric.  Children age 5 to  grade 5 are invited to attend. 

We’ll gather here at the church each morning,

August 11th to 15th, from 9:00 a.m. until noon for lots of

fun, music, laughter and learning.  Plan to attend, and bring
