Time to shake off the mid-winter blues with a celebration of "Life  Love and Laughter".  Come to the New Minas United Church on February 13th to enjoy a delicious roast beef dinner, followed by 30 minutes of family-friendly fun with comedienne Susan Carter.  Doors open at 5:30 pm for dinner at 6:00 pm, and tickets ($20.00/person) can be reserved by calling 679-5630 (Mindy & Bruce Tymchuk) or the church office at 681-0366, or e-mailing Mindy Vinqvist-Tymchuk at mindyvt@gmail.com.  Only 70 tickets are available and tickets must be purchased in advance.


Music Play for Life: On February 21st at 2pm at Denton Hall Acadia, there will be a concert in support of the Port Williams Park. It will feature prominent names such as Rachel Maclean, Greg Muttart, Sarah Pound, The Three Mezzos (Christianne Rushton, Paula Rockwell, Claire Mallin), the Honour Choir, the Acadia Youth Choir, East Coast Carolling (with Sharon Churchill Roe) and many more guests. VON Annapolis Valley will be hosting Lunch Bunch on February 16th  at the Royal Canadian Legion Ortona No. 69 in Berwick located on Main Street.  Beginning at 12 noon a wonderful lunch will be served at a cost of $7.00.  Please phone 678-1733 by February 12th to register your attendance. 

 













Annapolis Valley Honour Choir-‘Sweets for the Sweet’: Join  us for an evening of wonderful music and fabulous desserts on Saturday, February 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the Berwick Fire Hall.   Conductor Bill Perrot, Accompanist Heather Fraser.   Come and listen to the music of the Honour Choir while enjoying a delicious dessert.  Tickets are $10 and are available from choir members, at the door, or at the Pharmasave in Wolfville, Kingston and Berwick.

Helping People With Heart Disease Build Healthier Futures

“Hearts On Ice” is a major fundraiser for the Valley Cardiac Rehab

 

program which has helped hundreds of people with heart disease. Please help this year to raise the funds needed to keep our programs alive!

“Hearts On Ice” is a fun-filled afternoon for everyone. This is a great family winter event and supports an important program in our community.

The afternoon includes:

        Family Skating/Walking’ Games and Entertainment’ Broomball Challenge Cup’ Food and Refreshments PLUS many Prizes.

Sponsorship Sheets are available at the entrances of the church.

Receipts will be mailed to you for any donation of $10.00 or more!

Valentine’s Day Opera Concert on Sunday, February 14th at 3pm in Wolfivlle Baptist Church.  Trios, Duets,& Arias featuring singers Charlotte Embree, Elizabeth Charlton &  Stuart Hiseler.   A portion of the proceeds will go to support Chrysalis House Women's Shelter.   Tickets at the door: $15 Adults, $10 students, under 12 free.
