As we seek to enter the work of reconciliation with our Indigenous people, and in response to the report from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and to treat others the way we would want to be treated, Port Williams United Baptist Church adopted this statement at our Annual Meeting, February 24, 2021.

PWUBC acknowledges our meeting is in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded, ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaw people. As Treaty People, we will strive to walk with our Indigenous friends and neighbors in a good and faithful way, as we share the land that is entrusted to all by the Creator.
