Minister:
Rev. Dr. Scott Kindred-Barnes
Scott grew up in the Annapolis Valley and was an amateur boxing champion before attending university. He completed his BA and MDiv at Acadia and his MTh and PhD from the University of Toronto. As an Adjunct Faculty member of Toronto School of Theology, Scott taught Reformation history and theology at Trinity College, University of Toronto from 2007-2011. From 2011-2018 Scott served as the Minister at First Baptist Church Ottawa, and as the Senior Minister of Wolfville Baptist Church from 2018-2025. Scott and his spouse, Kerry, have two children. He loves spending time with family, reading and writing books, and traveling to historical sites, local and abroad. He has written numerous books and articles on Richard Hooker and the Reformation, and Baptist history. Scott has a heart for people, building community and pastoral care. He began his ministry at Port Williams United Baptist in mid-January 2026.
Minister of Music:
Dr. Christianne Rushton
Christianne Rushton has been music director at PWUBC for over 18 years. She is a graduate of Acadia University, Manhattan School of Music, the Juilliard School and received her Doctor of Musical Arts from SUNY Stony Brook. She is also Director of the School of Music and Professor of Voice at Acadia University. Christianne and her husband Michael are the proud parents of Aaron and Liam, who make the phrase “bring your kids to work” very real each and every Sunday!

Ms. Meaghan Parent
Meaghan Parent holds a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Anthropology. She is a mom to two adorable boys. In her free time she enjoys writing, sewing, playing the piano and baking! She started working at PWUBC in April 2024.
She is available in the church office on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9am until 12 noon.
