One of the distinctives of a Baptist church is our belief in what Walter Shurden has called the “Four Fragile Freedoms.” They are Soul Freedom, Bible Freedom, Church Freedom and Religious Freedom. When these freedoms are put into practice in a local church, it means that there is not one voice that determines our future—not even the pastor!
